[SIGH] I love this picture. I feel like that's me right now. Just giving it all to God...a quiet time with Him, asking for His comfort and direction and wondering what the heck is going on with me!

...An enormous THANK YOU to everyone who left such kind and loving words on yesterday's blog post, and for praying for me! Love each and every one of you. I am so thankful to have so many sisters in Christ.

....Did you see the Magic game last night? Prettttyyy freaking awesome! I might cry if the Magic can pull of two more wins! They are a pretty good team...if they all show up that is. So are the Celtics...but man! What a great round this has been! GO MAGIC!

...Went to the doctors today and I laugh at how they just LOVE to take your money! Told me I needed to do this and get this. Telling me because of my Kidney Infection I need to go and get all this other stuff done... Pshhh. Get lost. Just give me my check up and leave me alone!

Im gonna go out on a limb and be a little open today...

I just started a daily devotional called THE LOVE DARE, DAY BY DAY by Stephen Kendrick & Alex Kendrick. It's a year of devotions for couples, but I have chosen to do this with myself. It is so good, I highly suggest it. Well...Day 1 was yesterday and I failed the dare...MISERABLY. It talked about how love is the greatest of all things, without it we are nothing. The dare was to embrace love. "LIVE A LIFE OF LOVE" Loving God and others is what life is really about. I did not embrace it like I should have yesterday. I am so ashamed.

I am posting this because of Day 2. It talked about anger and selfishness. "DING DING DING"! THIS is what has been wrong with me. I have been full of anger and selfishness. How dare I! I have really hurt someone who means the world to me. I feel awful. How did I let this consume me?

"Anger can fuel hatred in a man's heart until he feels like attacking his enemy. But love can spark kindness in his heart so he lays down his life for his friend. Selfishness can drive a woman to tighten her grip and hoard her resources. But love can inspire her to open her hands and give sacrifically. Love is the purest and most powerful motivator."

Gooo Magic!

Happy Tuesday! I walked out of the house this morning to a beautiful rainbow...God's creations are so beautiful. Made me smile...and not many things make me smile at 7:15 AM while I am on my way to work....so I think it's gonna be a good day :)

Okay so I had a rather eventful Monday night...and so Im going to share it!

First of all...GO MAGIC! I am so glad they showed up last night...the last 3 games were embarassing! But what a great game!! I am paying for staying up late, but I couldn't fall asleep until the end!

Secondly, did you watch the bachelorette? If you did you most likely saw my friend...Chris N! I never watch these shows but I was freaking out last night wondering if he would get a rose because they didn't show much interaction between him and Ali....but sure enough, HE GOT A ROSE! Yay! (He wore a dark undershirt and had a teal tie on)

Okay and lastly... as I am falling asleep I hear a very loud crashing sound from outside. I think...car crash... so I walk outside and see the trash cans at the fire station (right down the street) knocked over and trash everywhere! Supposedly some idiot, probably drunk, ran into them...I see the fire men all come out so I walk back inside. Well as I am driving to work today I see a light pole, that is right next to where they put their trash cans, in pieces and uprooted! Seriously? Crazy, crazy people.

Miscellany Monday

(1) I very much value quality time spent with my boyfriend...I look forward to the weekends to spend with him because we don't get much time during the week...I didn't get that this weekendcriminals suck, btw) so I was sad and lonely. I did get a chance to get some stuff done and spend time with myself and friends...but it was a little tooo much time to myself. Oh well, it's a rare occassion that something comes up with his job. Im just ready for the 3-day weekend!

(2) I had the best sushi Saturday night with a friend because our boyfriends were both hard at work. I love to have my sushi soy wrapped. I feel that the seaweed takes away from the flavor. Many places don't offer soy paper, but if they do you must try it, if you haven't! It's SO GOOD!

(3) I think LOST people are crazy. That's right...I just called you crazy. (hehe) My brother is so into that show. I've tried to watch it before but I just am "lost", ha! Last night was the season finale. Butttt I know I can't say too much because im a Twilight & Grey's Anatomy lover so maybe YOU think IM crazy!? :P

(4) Trek and I went on an hour ride Saturday and wow...my body is still aching. Riding Friday night probably wasn't the best idea. I really do love cycling, but right now I could totally use a full body massage!

(5) I love frozen yogurt. I can't get enough of it. I think I eat more when it starts getting hot outside...I ate SO MUCH this weekend! Oops :x Frozen yogurt isn't bad though...right? I'll just keep telling myself it's "healthy", hehe.

Did you watch the Season Finale of Grey's?!

Um...can we say INTENSE! Holy moly! Ridiculous! It was so good. There was not a down moment for two hours straight! I can't believe how shocking it started within 10 minutes of the first hour. Can you believe all the people who got shot?! I won't say anything because I don't want to ruin it for those who couldn't stay up long enough to watch it...but...Wow. I am so glad with how it ended...except...I want lil Grey with McSteamy.

I love this show. I've watched every single episode since Season 1.

Season 7 is set to air mid September.

I love the weekends...it's too bad they don't last longer. Tomorrow I am going to attempt the hour long ride...pray for me! & then lay out in the sun! My kind of weekend. What are your plans? Don't forget about the $1 sandal sale at Old Navy tomorrow.

Anyways, today...I just want to be curled up on the couch with no sunlight watching Pride & Prejudice and the DVD's for Band of Brothers. With sweet teas, sushi and a mango gelati. [sigh] Ohhh well.

Bible study tonight, thank goodness! I've slacked this week... because it was cancelled last Thursday, I didn't get the fuel I needed. Lame excuse I know. AND the Grey's Anatomy 2 hour Season finale is on tonight! This very much excites me!

This week went by fast...or maybe just for me? I like it!

First Ride

I took "TREK" (yes I named my bike..though it's not a very creative name, whatever) out for our very first ride together! I lasted 40 minutes...I probably could have gone longer but there was a nasty storm approaching. I mainly road on the trail, but had to get there by riding along the road a little ways. THAT WAS SCARY! I do not like the road...I shall stick to the trails for now.

Surprisingly my upper body is the part that hurts the most today. I don't normally... okay...well I don't ever work out my upper body because I hate the pain I am left with. I know pain = gain but I'd much rather endure pain in my legs...that I can handle. I do feel some pain in my legs but not as bad as the upper body. AND my bum feels great?! I didn't even wear padded shorts...awesome! (I worried about that the most)

Needs: bike gloves (my hands were hurting on the ride), bike pouch, padded spandex shorts, sport sunglasses
Wants: pink taped handle bars or silver? & cycling shoes

Saturday I am going to attempt an hour ride...until then...I've got some training to do!

Miscellany Monday

(1) I pray every morning as I drive to work that I will make it through another day in the office. I wake up wishing I didn't have to go. Isn't that awful? It's so draining...emotionally and physically.

(2) I have had a headache since Saturday night. I get these, randomly. I can't ever tell if they are sinus pressure headaches or just a reallllly bad migraine! It's awful. It's killing me today.

(3) I love cherries. I love when there in season :) I have a lovely bag waiting for me at lunch time. It's also strawberry season, but I can no longer be happy about this. Why? Because my love towards strawberries will never be the same since I found a dead worm or caterpillar stuck inside a strawberry... that I almost ate. Gross and horrifying.
(4) I ventured into Bass Pro Shops this weekend for the first time in my 24 years. Rather interesting...way too much Camouflage.

(5) I severly lost a fight with the beau about whether it's appropraite to wear a Camouflage hat to dinner at a BBQ place. Damnit.

**I got my first ever road bike on Saturday! STOKED! It's a Trek 2100. I love her. Can't wait to take her out this weekend! Isn't she pretty?!

Space Shuttle

I love to watch the launch live on NASA TV. Though I don't understand the lingo being exchanged you can see the shuttle go into space and you can see Earth. It's SO cool! I might shed some tears when the last shuttle goes up. I would really like to go to the last two...so Casie...I just invited myself :)

Faith, Food, and Fashion Friday 5/14

First actual post on the new blog! Exciting!! I am joining in on Heather's "Faith, Food, and Fashion Fridays"! You should too!

Faith~

My faith has been rather shaken this week. I have been an emotional wreck. My walls have been up and I have been full of anger. Thank goodness for my bible study reminding me to keep up my shield of faith and pray in times like these. I dont think I have ever told my soul to "be still" more than I have this past week. Unfortunately, bible study was cancelled. I see my walk with God growing more and more each day. It truly is amazing and I am so blessed to have a Father who loves me unconditionally, even when I think I dont deserve anything or anyone, his unfailing love is always comforting me.

*Side note- I did get to watch my shows last night...Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice! So intense. Who is stoked for the 2hr season finale of Grey's next week?!?!?!

Food~

I dont ever have time to cook or bake like I used to. I did make some rice krispie treats the other night and well...they didn't last long! Rice krispie treats are one of my favorite "desserts". Makes me feel kind of like a little kid when I eat them! Hehe. You should make some. They are so easy....and delicious!

Fashion~

Well not to repeat myself, but my current fashion obsession are Rompers. I posted on this earlier this week, you can go here to read it.
I am going to do a little retail therapy tonight and am going to force myself to try on some rompers and hopefully will have luck with one! They are just so lovely and look totally comfortable.
