Safe & Sound

Soldier boy made it back to the states!!!

Feel free to give him a warm welcome back comment!
He reads this lil ol blog.

Our first text messages to each other:

SB: hey babe
Me: Ohhhh my gosh!
Me: What a pleasant surprise :)
SB: lol I know. :) It's weird texting u from my phone
Me: Haha, yeah really weird!

I can't describe the excitement! I didn't know when I would hear from him so it came as a shock when I got that first text. I want to remember this moment. He called me not long after and wow. It was so good to hear his voice again. 23 days y'all!!! And I have this feeling April is going to fly by, there is a lot going on right now for me. All good and all exciting but overwhelming! So thankful him and the troops made it back safely.

Just as I had figured out Afghanie time, I've gotta switch and figure out Hawaiian time.
Bring it on Hawaiian-Aleutian Standard Time.

Pray for us please? For me? I'm really nervous about our relationship from this point on. Thanks.

Ah!! I got butterflies for you :) I am so so excited for you two to be together again! And as long as you both continue to put effort into your relationship it will totally workout! When you see each other? It will be like he was never gone :) I dated a boy in the military and it was the best to see him that first day after it had been months :)
But I'm definitely praying for you both!

Prayers for you guys and WELCOME HOME!!! It is the best feeling in the whole world. I'm so happy for you because I have been there. It will work out. It definitely isn't always easy but it is worth it. It takes a strong woman to be with a soldier and I think you can handle it:) So happy for you both!

Dear Soldier Boy,
Although I am constantly rolling my eyes and fake gagging at you two, you make my lady very very happy, so I applaud you.

Welcome back to the motherland, and thanks for all you did - our soldiers rock =)

(PS: you break her heart and I will shank you.)

Oh my gosh...I can just IMAGINE that feeling that you got when you received that first text...such a great feeling!!!!

I'm excited for you girl! Just take one day at a time. Keep God in the center of your relationship and as long as you both are able to communicate and continue to put effort into it, the relationship will last a long time :)
