About To Be Official! Michabella's Cupcakery is one step, one document away from being official. The name has been fictiously registered/DBA (Doing Business As) with , recieved a Federal Tax ID from the IRS, and am waiting to get my business lisence! Woop woop! THANK YOU FL COTTAGE FOOD ACT! Looking forward to the future of my lil business. Please pray that God gives me direction! 

In other news, my hair stylist ROCKS! 

I walk in never expecting anything, tell her to do whatever, and come out feeling like a million bucks. 

I heart her. 

Mumford & Sons. There is a great article and interview with them in the newest issue of Rolling Stones. They talk about God, Beer, & Banjos! And if you have listened to their music and amazing lyrics, you'll notice the are many references to faith, sin and atonement. Marcus Mumford is indeed a Christian. As if my love for them could grow any stronger. LOVE.

JAX. My sweet baby boy. I snapped this picture of him before going on our evening stroll. He HATES this new chest collar. I love it. Might I add that we got drenched last night and had to run a mile home!

I have been working on re-training Jax because of his behavior. Who better than to look to the Dog Whisperer?! I checked out Cesar Milan's website, and found many helpful, interesting and wonderful tips. One that really stood out to me is when he talks about having to train myself , not just Jax, to change my ways, in order to posses the role of the leader. I, unfortunately, do not posses the Type A, Alpha Male personality so this is a bit more of a struggle, but if I can change and stick with it, so too will Jax. 

I def saw a change in him when I walked him last night, also because he hates his chest collar. Sunday night we did not get along well on our walk. Little improvements and signs that it's working. 

I really suggest you check out Cesar Milan's website, dawg.

A Nurses Touch

{I am doing this behind my sister's back, but I don't think she will mind}

This is my sister. She is a Registered Nurse.

I saw a quote one time that said "A nurse, the touch of an angels hand." 

I very much agree.

It takes a special person with a special gift to be a nurse/doctor. 

My sister got this wonderful gift.

She is participating in and raising money for Heart Walk for the American Heart Association.

What is Heart Walk? Why Walk?

"Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of all Americans? In fact, someone dies from CVD every 38 seconds! Heart disease also kills more women than all forms of cancer combined.  And congenital cardiovascular defects are the most common cause of infant death from birth defects."


My sister is wanting to raise $100 to help towards this movement.

Tuesday Ramblings

RUDE: For those who don't know, I hosted a bracelet swap. Well, I sent my partner a bracelet and it got stolen from the envelope. Another participant's bracelet broke while in transit. Sigh. At least I know if I do it next time, that they need to be sent in secure packages. 

JAX BABY: I took Jax out for an ice cream treat last night at Bruster's Ice Cream. It was our first lil outing together and I was impressed that he behaved. 

BLOG LOVE: I have another friend who joined the blogging world, Sara! Go say hi! She is a new momma-to-be! 

AWESOMENESS: Apparently, I am awesome. Google told me so. {as if you didn't already know}
Should I add this to my resume? Too much?

JESUS: To be quite honest, I haven't been an honoring child of God lately. I have been real depressed. I hate admitting it but it's true. I read this blog post this morning and it hit home with me. It also gave me a restored hope and trust in Him. If you are single, I do suggest reading it: Waiting for a Husband. God is good. All the time.

Miscellany Monday

Happy Monday friends!

Are you awake?! I sure as heck AM NOT.

I had to fight to get outta bed.

Work obviously won.

(1) Friday I went to the Jason Aldean concert!

It was around 80-77F Friday night.

The concert was at an amphitheater.

One hot sweaty mess.

But so worth it for Jason Aldean!

(2) Got a sweet package from a bracelet blog swapper. {Thanks Nicole!}

I cannot express my excitement when I recieved these:

(3) Saturday I had a froyo and movie date with Lauren! We saw Midnight in Paris: It was sweet, but would have been better if I knew more about the 20's lifestyle. I personally did not like Owen Wilson in this movie.

(4) I am sure many of y'all read Pink Lou Lou's blog. I have seen her and a few other bloggers rave about NARS Orgasm Blush. I don't normally add blush to my routine makeup. I decided to give this a try.

(5) I encountered another FL summer storm from hell. I swear it was like part of a Hurricane it was that bad! I honestly was scared for my life.

(6) My brother and I have birthdays a few days a part from each other so we always celebrate them together. We went to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner last night. It was good! Their hush puppies are yummy! I was most fascinated with the way they served their corn! Still had part the of husk on it like a handle. Ha.

(7) I watched The Lincoln Lawyer with the sexiest man alive (in my opinion). IT WAS SO GOOD! Def recommend renting it.

(8) I have yet to see Harry Potter. I have heard many great things about it! Hopefully by this weekend! Did you see it?! Your thoughts?!

Another Year Older...

There is so much to say. SO much has changed. Good. And bad. I have gained some amazing friendships through blogging. I have lost many friendships in the 'real world'. My heart was shattered and has slowly been put back together. I have grown and come a long way. I became a momma, to my lil furbaby Jax. I GRADUATED COLLEGE. A life long goal, one I never thought I would reach. Where do I go from here? What does my life have in store for me at this rip age of 26?! Wish I knew. But, as God promised in Jeremiah...He has wonderful plans for me. I just sure hope it's a bit more happier than the last year.

I love each and every one of you!

I ran over to Michael's Craft Store last night after I saw this DIY. I did a bracelet in 30 minutes! Turned out great. Michael's didn't have the pretty colors like this tutorial shows though. I would probably order some online if I were to make more. This is the tutorial I followed. Here is mine:
