Hey friends! I posted pictures and a recap for my first wedding gig over on the Michabella's Cupcakery blog! Go take a look!
Also- Don't forget to say a prayer or take a moment of silence at 3pm to remember those lives lost fighting for you, me, our Country and its Freedom.

Friendships
{me and my bff}
A recent study cited statistics that showed half of Americans only have two close friends. And 1 out of 4 Americans say that they don't have any close friends.
This study really stood out to me today. It was a part of my devotional email and was connected to the bible verse: “Turn to me and show me your favor, I am lonely and hurting.” Psalm 25:16
Moving back to my hometown has been rough for me, in relation to friends. I have lost many 'friendships'. You see, I am the friend those goes above and beyond for others, the one that chooses to be the friend to others that I would like to have. I've mentioned this before, but I ended a so called friendship with someone I knew for 15+ years because it was completely one sided. It's been quite lonely the past two years, I have been hurt many times, but that doesn't stop me from being this friend to others. I have also learned a lot about myself. I took a hard look at some things that weren’t so wonderful about myself and have really worked to change those things. The friendships I do have, I very much value and love them. Many of YOU are some of the best friends that I have ever had and I've never even met you!!! {thank you for that}
If you're lonely:
•“Would you love a friend who takes time to show that she cares by picking up the phone and asking about your day? Then pick up the phone and ask about someone’s day.”
• “Would you love a friend who keeps confidences and is trustworthy? Then be trustworthy.”
• “Would you love a friend who asks you to go shopping (or to the movies, or for a walk…) at the spur of the moment? Then ask someone to go along when you go do those things.”
"It’s easier to stay isolated sometimes than to reach out, especially if you’ve been hurt or disappointed many times. I know too well. But I want to encourage you to reach out, show love and care about others."
If you’re not lonely…
"Remember today that many people are lonely. Remember one in four women would say she doesn’t have a single close friend. Think about it in terms of your neighborhood. If there are 40 women who live near you, 10 of them believe that they don’t have a friend in the world. Could God be calling you to be that friend? Look for ways to open your circle of friends to new people. Watch for that new woman at church sitting by herself, the woman at work who eats lunch alone, or the neighbor who never seems to be invited. Reach out to someone new today, and be part of one less life feeling lonely today."
ps- Jesus is the best friend you could ever dream of having.

High On Life
Joining in on a new link up called High On Life with Some Kind of Wonderful! It's pretty cool. You basically share what or who makes you smile and/or what inspires you!!
I am definitly high on life right now!! This year has just been great. The number one person who always inspires me is Jesus. He is my motivator. He is the little voice in my head telling me I can do this, that I can accomplish so much through the strength and wisdom He gives me. A week from today I will be walking across the stage in a cap and gown. A day I never thought I would see!!! Woo hoo!
Thanks to all who prayed and sent happy thoughts my way!!!
Last night, I went out to my favorite sushi joint with my girl Baily to celebrate this huge accomplishment. We enjoyed saketini's, sushi, and this amazing PB&J sorbet!!! We had eyed this dessert a few weeks ago, so we made sure to get it this time! It did NOT disappoint!
Oh, and here is a random picture of my baby boy.
He is a professional tree climber and lizard hunter.
Peace out loves! Join the HOL party!

Randoms on Tuesday
Hi y'all! Remember me?
I have some random things floating through my head that I wanted to share!!
Like how I want this kitchen, it even has Susie the KitchenAid!
-Diggin' this song:
-A lovely reminder for single women, like myself...it's worth the entire 7 minutes, promise.
-Loving the gender reveal baby party idea!
-Jax was cracking me up the other night.
He barked and growled at me for about 5 minutes because he swore one of his toys was under my bed {i ignored him as long as possible}. I caved in and went searching under my bed. Found nothing.
His mad face:
He decided to go searching himself:
There was nothing under the bed. Silly boy. End of story.
-Addicted to the new Coconut Mocha Frapps at Starbucks:
Have an uber fantastic Tuesday, friends!!!

Potty Break
Today, while browsing through some blogger's love stories, I got to thinking of the person I am today and how I got here... {and of course day dreaming of how God will put my future in the path of this road He is leading me on...how it will all unfold. I can't wait to look back and smile.}
Come sit with me, let's talk. Grab your coffee...or Dr. Pepper. Whatever your heart desires.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been 8 months since 'that awful breakup'. I got shoved into the dirt with a broken heart and left behind.
Philippianes 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ/Him who strengthens me."
STRENGTH. It was given to me by my Father and is what got me through. He held my hand and pulled me up from the ground. He wiped away my tears and stitched my heart back together.
I didn't go into depression. I didn't cry endless nights. I didn't hide from the world.
My life went the completely opposite direction.
That strength led me to be the woman I am today.
I stood up for myself. I ended friendships and gained a couple others. I stopped putting up with people's crap. I have slowly put myself out there. I went after my dream. I am about to graduate college! A goal I thought would never be accomplished. I finally adopted a pup. I have lived my single life fully and have embraced it. My heart is full again.
I am FINALLY happy.
STRENGTH.
A blessing from Above.

Tail Wagging Tuesday!
{Hey Y'all! Sorry I have been MIA. If you don't hear from me much this month it's because I am ridiculously busy this month due to it being my VERY LAST CLASS EVER and I have way too many cupcakes to bake next week and am trying to mentally prepare myself for.}
Couple things first:
-There is a BLOGGER BABY SHOWER FOR TUSCALOOSA going on right now! It is awesome and is another way we can help those in need.
-Did you see or are you planning on seeing the movie SOMETHING BORROWED? Read my review and share your thoughts!
2 eggs
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2.Whisk together the flour, eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter and cinnamon in a bowl. Add water as needed to help make the dough workable, but the dough should be dry and stiff. Roll the dough into a 1/2-inch-thick roll. Cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
3.Bake in preheated oven until hard, about 40 minutes.
Puppy Tested, Mother Approved:

Consider this...
"If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs" Deuteronomy 15:7-8
My church's assistant pastor is up helping in Tuscaloosa. He said the town looks like a bomb hit it.
