Hey friends!!!
Have a seat. Go refill your coffee.
Or leave. No hard feelings if you do.
I have a bunch of jumbled up thoughts, all fitness related, as I am on my last week of
Jamie Eason's LiveFit 12 week training program. I
might share the before and after pictures on here, but I am not sure if I am ready to be
that vulnerable.
The results I have gotten are amazing. I am not where I want to be but I am far from where I use to be. I have also become a lil bit obsessed with weight training. I even find myself lusting over athletic shoes... what the what?!
Don't workout to lose weight, workout to get fit!!!!!!
{you will lose weight in the process!}
MUSTS {in my own opinion}:
1. EAT CLEAN, EAT CLEAN, EAT CLEAN!!!
Jamie Eason can help you with it! Yes, it's a lot of work (meal prep, grocery shopping, dining out, etc). Yes, it requires a lifestyle change. But hey, you wanna get to your goal? You want that hot bod? OK then. This is the first and most important step. Even if you aren't training, this is so so so good for you!!! I can not express it enough. Yes, I still have 'cheat meals' and yes I still drink a Dr. Pepper (my one true love) every now and then but honestly, I don't think people realize what they are putting into their bodies. It's going to take you 10x more work to work off that can of soda. Make smart choices. It'll pay off. Trust me.
2. WEIGHT TRAIN. Once upon a time I thought I could lose weight and tone up by just doing cardio alone. Wrong. I saw very little results. You have got to weight train! It's important for your core and the weight will shed a whole lot easier as you lean up. No, you will not bulk up. It is almost impossible for women to bulk up. So stop using that as an excuse. Not sure how to use weights? Bodybuilding.com! They have instructional videos of how to use weights and machines and for free! That's where I learned everything. Don't be afraid of getting in there with the men. Claim your bench and get to work. When weight training it is suggested to drink protein shakes within 30 minutes after your workout.
3. CARDIO. This is my nemesis. I have grown to loathe cardio. I'm struggling with it this week actually, but cardio is where your excess weight will come off and your muscle definition will start to show/you'll lean out.
Where do I get my inspiration/motivation? A lot has come from my results. Seeing my body change for the better keeps me going. But I also get it from
Pinterest, following female athletes/bodybuilders (like
Jamie Eason) on Facebook, and having someone to root you on, like Soldier Boy.
No gym membership? Another popular excuse, one I have used all too much. With the internet at your finger tips, there are plenty of at home workouts you can find. Get yourself a nice set of weights and get er done!
Have questions? Feel free to ask, I will do my best to answer, I am still learning!
