I am out this week....Why you ask?

BECAUSE I AM ON A BOAT!

Cruising...to the Western Caribbean (I had been telling people I was going to the Eastern Caribbean but obviously I didn't read the itinerary right! Oops) with some lovely friends. Biggest birthday present to myself, but something I will thoroughly enjoy! Pray for our safety! Can't wait to share stories and pictures!!!

Quick Post!

Busy Busy day at work. But, man when I start packing I can't stop until it's finished! I have gotten so many rooms packed and ready to go for tomorrow. I am rather impressed. Though...my body is killing me.

Taking a quick breather to share what I did yesterday...

I surprised my dear friend, Amanda, at the airport! She flew in to go spend the weekend with another friend, in Tampa. It's been just about 2 years since I last saw her! How I missed her so!!!!! She was soooo surprised! It was so fun! All three of us then went out to grab some food and do a mini catch up sesh. Made us seriously miss our lives in St. Augustine together...((sigh))

Here is a picture of Amanda and I from my 23rd birthday. (Note: I change my hair just about every 2 months...and this is me when I was 20 pounds overweight.)

FIRST- Thanks for all the comments on what I need to bring on the cruise!!

SECOND- It's been a freaking crazy week already. I am stressed with work, we are moving into a new building next week so that means I have to have all of my things in the office packed by Friday; and I am stressed with school...as I have so many assignments to finish by this Sunday since I won't have internet access on the cruise (well its possible, I just refuse to pay for it, or bring my macbook pro...too much liability). Because of the stress I apologize for not commenting back to most of you! Please forgive me! xoxo.

I am working a half-day at work today! Yay! I will tell you why tomorrow.

Top 2 Things You Want To Purchase...

((ONE)) I would love a pair of cowboy boots, real ones, like Lucchese. I wish I could have them for the Brad Paisley concert im going to in August. If only they weren't $350!

((TWO)) A new car is DEF a want. My car is old with many miles but she is still chugging along. If I were to get a new car it would be a small SUV, like a Ford Escape. I am done with small 2-door cars! I mean...if I ever had to take Saiga (the bf and I's rather large pup) I wouldn't be able to! My boyfriend hasn't ever even been in my car...my Dad barely fits in my car. It's annoying actually.

**Side note** I have no clue what to pack for my Carnival Eastern Carribean cruise...besides the basics of course (bathing suits, light clothing, sandals, sneakers, dresses, toiletries) Anyone suggest other things?? Thanks in advance!

Miscellany Monday

*ONE* Monday came way too fast! I feel I never had time to really relax. Bleh.

*TWO* I feel like an old woman today. No, im serious. I have a ThermaCare back pad on. I woke up and my back was KILLING me. I was told I will always have lower back pain because my tailbone curves in too far. But lately it's been real bad. I think its the lack of exercise. I use to workout almost every day and now it is just on the weekends. It's just impossible right now to find time after work to do it. So for now I will just suck it up and thoroughly enjoy this heat pad.

*THREE* In exactly one week I will be departing on a cruise ship!!! I am stoked, but there is so much that needs to be done before I leave (school/work), which is leaving me stressed out!

*FOUR* Have you heard??? Anthropologie will have a wedding line come Spring 2011! I adore Anthropologie.

*FIVE* Heat index for today...104 degrees... Ew.

*SIX* If I could I would... eat Yogurtopia & cycle... every.single.day.

*SEVEN* After I get my BA Degree I have decided to go back to school to get an AS in Bakery & Pastry Management. It's my dream to have my cupcakery.

Hoping & praying it will happen.

*EIGHT* Seriously...this ThermaCare pad is AMAZING. It lasts for 8 hours!

Birthday Recap: Thank you for all the birthday love! It was by far the BEST birthday I have ever had. Almost everyone that I love with me at dinner last night. It was great. 25 is seriously going to be a great year, I can feel it. Just a couple more birthday dinners this weekend and then the birthday cruise (present to myself)! 10 more days! **Yesterday I signed up for the Home Ec-Online Sewing Class for beginners!!! I had to jump on this because I have no idea how to sew, which leaves my new sewing machine lonely and dusty. The class is hosted by LA of Freckled Nest and Rachel Denbow of Smile and Wave. If you are interested go sign up!!! Class starts in August.

Twenty Five

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today I am 25!

(though it's officially around 2:30pm)

My sweet mother put my name in our local christian radio station's birthday list. Was pretty awesome to hear my name this morning!

Can we be honest for a minute or two? I had been thinking negatively lately about my birthday. Not because I am officially old, but there were just so many things I had hoped and wanted to accomplish by the time I was 25. The Lord spoke to me and said I don't get to choose the plan for my life, He does that. So I let go.

...And my whole attitude for today did a complete 360.

I am blessed beyond belief! I am blessed to be alive and celebrating this birthday with my amazing friends and family. Sure, I have lost many friends, but I keep telling myself that its better to have a few close and true friendships then just aquaintances. I am a part of an amazing community...the blog community! I am so thankful for each and every one of you! I am blessed to have the most wonderful man God put into my life and I know he has so much in store for the two of us. My walk with the Lord grows every day. And I know it'll only get better.

Tonight I will have a box of tissues by my side for 2 hours because tonight's episode is in honor of Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie. It's his last episode. He was one of my favorite Captain's on the show...minus his sailor cursing mouth.

Miscellany Monday

(ONE) This is my 50th post! Yeahhhhh. Today is my brother's 19th birthday! Yeahhhhh. It's my birthday week! Yeahhhhh.

(TWO) MEET SAIGA!!!

Isn't he the cutest thing? He is a 2 year old Belgian Malinois. Very tall. So sweet. The boyfriend and I rescued him. We really got so lucky. God blessed us with this sweet boy.

(THREE) It's National Pecan Pie Day. I am not a fan...but if YOU are make sure you eat some today!

(FOUR) The boyfriend and I went to a local cigar bar to listen to some Blues music, enjoy a beer or two, and smoke cigars. I am not much of a fan but I decided to finally try a cigar! This is me with my first cigar, it was Kaluha flavored. While the picture shows that I like it....I didn't. I smoked half of it. It tasted weird. I think next time I will try a vanilla one.

(FIVE) I bought tickets to see 2 concerts in August! I will be seeing Norah Jones with my mother and Brad Paisley with the boyfriend! Excited is an understatement.

(SIX) Speaking of music...I bought Jack Johnson's new CD-To The Sea (it was calling my name while I was at the Starbuck's counter) and it is SOOO good! I love that mans voice!

(SEVEN) There is nothing I look forward to more than sitting in church on a Sunday morning with my boyfriend. Hopefully one day, blog friends, you will understand why. :)

Where my Prayer Warriors at??

I have a huge prayer request. My best friend has had a really rough pregnancy. She was in the hospital last night because she was having really bad contractions and it's been going on for a couple of months now. She has also had an IV box thing(idk what it's called) attached to her for the entire pregnancy. She is 6 1/2-7 months pregnant.

Please keep her and baby Kylee in your prayers!

Birthday Wishlist

Well this morning didn't start how I would have liked... I refuse to complain but one of the things makes me realize that every month I am finding out who my true friends are. There aren't many people which makes me sad and angry and hurt. Just a part of life though...

Okay on to awesomeness! My birthday is exactly ONE WEEK from today! My parents don't do gifts anymore but... I wanted to do a wish/dream list anyway!



*I am turning the big 25 so I wish to be a little girl for a day :) I'd love tickets to a theme park! My favorites are Sea World and Universal/Island's of Adventure. I am anxious to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but it's probably best to wait til all the summer tourists leave.

*A puppy!!!

*I did something so out of the ordinary last night...I did yard work! Yep, that's right! Weird. Anyways, I would love some cute girly gardening gloves because I got stabbed on my thumb by a thorny bush. Ouch. I am kind of excited to get some flowers and have gardening ideas but I have to remember it's not my house...it's my boyfriend's bachelor pad, hehe.

*There are a couple of things I have always loved from Tiffany & Co. but I am trying to be less materialistic these days. (sigh)

*Sky Diving!

*A girl can never have too much Vera Bradley or Pandora charms! I am so in love with the new colors that just came out for Vera Bradley...this is my new fav, "Hello Dahlia"!

*I have always wanted to see the Blue Man group!

*I could always use $ for some gear for Trek.

*A day trip to St. Augustine or dinner on the beach. Oh how I miss those days.

*A day at the spa or just a massage. Nothing like getting pampered on your birthday! :)

Are you just as excited as me that it's Thursday?! I am ready for Friday and the weekend!!

There are certain dates that bring tears to my eyes. I can recall where I was, who I was with, what I was doing...EVERYTHING from these dates no matter how many years pass.

July 7th will never be just another day. Today marks a year that a beautiful woman and an amazing friend was taken to be with the Lord. She touched so many lives. She lived her life to the fullest. She cared for so many people.

Melissa- I miss your laugh, your smile, your constant statuses and comments on Facebook. They always made me smile and/or laugh. Our many memories together will never leave my heart.

First of all, I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! There was nothing but rain and humidity all weekend. I did make it to see some fireworks though! I am so relieved for Top 2 Tuesday because I had no urge to blog today. Things have just been crappy lately.
